We hope you enjoy Liz's wonderful photo tour. Watchet, Sampford Brett, St. Decumans, Old Cleeve, are small villages that are only a few miles apart. The Slocombe Family made this area their home in the 1500 and 1600's. I believe that Anthony and Giles Slocombe lived in this area and walked this beautiful land. It has always been believed that Anthony's fathers name was John and it may be possible that John Slocombe of Sampford Brett was his father. Which would make Anthony and Giles cousins if Giles were the son of Philip Slocombe of Old Cleeve. |
